Meatless in March

Hi there.

I'm the CEO at Chuice, and a pediatric ER doctor. While eating less meat -- or at least trying to make it a side item -- is something we espouse at Chuice, it's something a lot of us struggle with.

But, I did something crazy last year...I actually went meatless in March. For those who know me, that'a sort of a big deal. I was born and raised in Michigan, and my family ate meat at almost every meal when I was growing up.

At Chuice, we don't believe that there's just one way to eat. However, the science is clear: people who eat a diverse array of plant-based foods every week and don't make meat the center of every meal, live longer, healthier lives.

So, for March 2023, I decided to try it again. This time, I thought I'd share my experience as a meat-eater trying to do what can seem to many of us as impossible...to go a whole month without eating any meat.

If you're like me and know that you could afford to eat less meat than you do, feel free to join me, even if for a few days at a time. I'll keep updating this page with some tips and ideas. Questions and feedback is very much welcome!

Breakfast:

Ok, the nice thing about being the CEO at Chuice is that it's rare I don't have Chuice around. Every morning I crave granola with fresh blueberries and blackberries...and, an entire bottle of Fresh Beets poured over this in a bowl. It's insanely delicious.

Lunch:

Veggie burgers have come a long way. My favorite is Dr. Praegers. They can go right from the freezer to the frying pan and are delicious. I sometime eat them with fresh avocado and salsa...tasty and filling.

Stay tuned for more to come. Feel free to send us questions. I'll keep updating this page.
